Arrived into London
Arrived into Heathrow safely and relatively on time. Heathrow is SO HUGE. I went over to terminal 4 and picked up one of our group; Beverly. I decided to get into London by Tube which I think is a really great way to get there but it takes a little while but is only 4GBP. You also have to drag your bags up and down stairs which was a little hard on Bev but we made it. For folks who have not been to London before, I think I would recommend the dot2dot service which takes you airport to door for only 21GBP! That is a deal compared to a taxi.
After a shower and a brief rest we headed into the core of the city and took a nice walk. We visited the Charing Cross bridge with its beautiful view of the Thames, Trafalgar Square and then wandered down the Strand with it’s lovely Christopher Wren churches.
Here is Bev on the strand in front enjoying the beautiful weather and sites. We finished up at the Royal Courts of Justice which is a lovely building and went into a famous old pub, the George and had wonderful Bangers and Mash and an Ale. Ah, life is good in London.

Tell me more. I can’t wait to experience a virtual European Tour. Please…wax on about the food and sites and sunsets.
